England tail enders batted brilliantly to help the home team to put up a target of 435 runs in their 1st Innings. Australians started their battle but lost one early wicket of Philip Hughes but the unbeaten stand between Katich and Ponting really holds the Day for the Aussies. Both the Aussies player scored a brilliant hundred and scored 249/1 at the end of Day 2. Aussies really looking strong and the way they have started the Ashes series is quite well. They need to continue this good partition and bat the whole day today to get past the England total and take a good lead.
